Cecile's Childcare is a place for children to have fun, learn and socialize in a comfortable, small group setting. As research shows, exposure to a foreign language early is very beneficial to children's development and also helps them learn languages faster when they are older. Early exposure to a foreign language at an early age also makes it easier for children to learn, as they learn very fast.

Wholesome meals are served to enhance their learning abilities, and they will have extensive educational support during the preschool classes. They also have plenty of play time to let their imagination work, and get the physical exercise their body needs. Art has a big place in the learning time. We do an art project every day.

I have extensive experience in caring for and teaching to children as a Preschool teacher, French teacher, childcare provider and the mother of two wonderful and bright children. Through continuing classes in Early Childhood Education, I thrive to become the best teacher I can be and learn new skills to help children grow and learn in a safe and fun way. I help children grow while being themselves and pay attention to their own interest and personality.

My culinary experience and my creativity help me bring to the table wonderful dishes that the children enjoy. I use Organic ingredients, and fresh local produce.

My first language is French, which I teach to the children daily in a fun yet structured lesson as well as throughout the day.

Through positive reinforcement and redirection, I teach the children good manners and how to be good friends.
I provide games and activities to enhance curiosity and develop fine and large motor skills.

ABOUT ME:

My name is Cecile. I have been teaching children for many years and have found it very rewarding.
I am always attending classes to learn about the best ways and the latest research on how children learn, and the best ways to teach.
I graduated from LTH Lesdiguieres, in Grenoble, France in 1997 after studying French cuisine for 3 years. This is one of the top 3 best culinary schools in France. I combine the skills I learned, my creativity and love of cooking to create great meals.
I volunteer my services to the Grameen Foundation in translating documents from English to French as needed, and am committed to be helpful to those in need.
I also volunteer as a grant writer for Toy Rescue Mission in Tacoma and donate regularly to the Make a Wish Foundation.
